Job summary

Vorex Packaging in the United States seeks independent sales representatives who know local food businesses and product brands. This is a commission-based role with no base salary; you will find customers while our packaging specialists prepare quotes, proofs and orders.

Work from home anywhere in the United States with flexible hours. You’ll generate leads, contact restaurants, cafes, bakeries and food brands, and coordinate with our team to move quotes to orders.

Qualifications

• Comfortable working on commission only with self-management.
• Good spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Find and contact restaurants, cafes, bakeries and food brands in your region.
• Generate your own leads via walk-ins, networks, events, phone, email and social media.
• Learn customer needs and pass requests to a Vorex specialist.
• Stay in touch with customers as quotes and orders move along.
• Bring back customer requests to improve products and prices.

About Vorex Packaging

Vorex Packaging is a custom packaging studio for brands in the USA and Canada, with offices in Abingdon, MD and Brampton, ON. Customers tell us what they sell and how it ships; our specialists handle the quote, place the artwork on the dieline and send a digital proof. Nothing prints until the customer approves it. Our production partner then prints, converts and ships the order. We make mailer boxes, folding cartons, rigid gift boxes, bags, labels and other printed packaging.

The role

We are looking for independent sales representatives who know local food businesses and product brands. You find and talk to the customers; our packaging specialists prepare the quotes, proofs and orders. This is an independent, commission-based role: the commission rate is agreed per region, and there is no base salary.

What you will do

• Find and contact restaurants, cafes, bakeries, food brands and e-commerce brands in your region that buy custom packaging.
• Generate your own leads: walk-ins, local networks, events, phone, email and social media.
• Learn what each customer needs (product, size, quantity, timeline) and pass the request to a Vorex specialist.
• Stay in touch with your customers while their quote, proof and order move along.
• Bring back what customers ask for, so we can improve products and prices.

What we need

• Experience selling to restaurants, food businesses, retail or small brands (packaging, printing or food service supply is a plus).
• You are comfortable working on commission only and organising your own time.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Based in the USA.

Nice to have

• Existing relationships with restaurants, cafes, bakeries or food brands.
• Experience with printed products, promotional products or packaging.
• A CRM habit: you keep notes on every customer.

How we work

• Fully remote. You work from home anywhere in the United States.
• Contract work: you invoice us for the work you do; this is not an employee position with benefits.
• Work arrives with real customer orders, so volume moves with demand. We tell you honestly how much there is.
• We talk in writing (email and shared files) with a few hours of overlap with US Eastern time.

Pay

Commission only. The commission rate is agreed per region. There is no base salary.
