Job summary

Graphic Packaging International Irvine seeks a Quality Control Technician to support QA and CI functions on the production line. The role focuses on adhering to quality standards during sheeting, printing, cutting, folding, gluing, and packaging, with duties spanning inspection, sampling, and documentation.

You will collaborate with CI and QA teams to ensure product quality, safety, and compliance with SQF and customer specs, while maintaining SPC data and quality records in a fast-paced plant

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as SOP’s, Customer Specifications and quality testing results.
• Ability to write instructions and disposition documentation.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Inspect department samples for quality issues per customer and GPI specs.
• Review daily plant schedule and production orders; update printing production spreadsheet.
• Maintain Quality Sample Room and ensure red line procedures are followed.
• Perform quality inspections/audits and verify in-line inspection equipment.
• Assist with CoF, score bend and perforation tests and carry out SQF procedures.
