Job summary

Graphic Packaging International in Irvine seeks a Quality Control Technician to uphold quality standards across folding carton processes. You will inspect samples, manage the QC sample room, and coordinate with teams to fulfill production requirements and customer specs.

The role involves SQF-related procedures, adherence to safety rules, and daily reporting to CI leadership. A high school diploma is required, with strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret SOPs, customer specs and quality testing results.
• Ability to write instructions and disposition documentation.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic in all units of measure.

Responsibilities

• Inspect department samples for quality per customer/GPI specs.
• Collect QC samples and maintain Quality Sample Room.
• Review daily plant schedule and production orders.
• Work with colleagues to complete special requests.
• Review schedule to ensure special tasks are carried out.
• Inspect Red Line Area and ensure proper tagging procedures.
• Perform quality inspections and audit SPC systems.
• Request Certificate of Analysis as needed.
