Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Plant Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations at our United States manufacturing facility, directing Team Leaders, Section Leaders and Operators to ensure safety, quality and production targets are met and that ISO principles are integrated into daily practice.

You will champion teamwork, coach teams, participate in process improvement, manage shift schedules, Kronos records, and ensure comprehensive documentation in shift reports, with a strong focus on safety and continuous

Qualifications

• Plastics or Extrusion experience preferred.
• Team management style.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Analytical, numerical and reasoning skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
• Administrative skills with previous management/supervisory experience.
• Excellent communication (computer, verbal, written, presentation).
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Safety-focused with strong attendance record.
• Knowledge of ISO and SQF uses and policies.

Responsibilities

• Administers and manages plant operations safety and quality programs.
• Promotes a teamwork-based working environment.
• Coaches work teams and develops decision-making criteria.
• Assists in selection, training, evaluations, and promotion of employees.
• Attend morning and other necessary meetings.
• Participates in process improvement efforts.
• Incorporates ISO principles into daily quality culture.
• Develops and transfers non-manufacturing skills to teams.
• Complete shift reports and email to appropriate personnel.
• Fill in for Team Leader when needed to reduce OT.
• Manage Kronos records for shift employees.
• Prioritize rework material for teams.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce costs.
• Ensure safety, quality and production standards.
