Job summary

Amcor Rigid Packaging in the United States seeks a Plant Production Supervisor to manage all production activities, uphold safety, and meet customer specifications. You will lead production staff, ensure schedules, minimize costs, and drive continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Key requirements include a technical bachelor's degree and 5 years of manufacturing supervision, with SAP familiarity and travel about 10%.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical or related field.
Minimum 5 years of manufacturing supervision experience.
Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and costs.
Knowledge of machines and tools, including design, use, repair and maintenance.
Travel about 10%.
Experience with SAP is a plus; plastics industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Review and maintain production orders and schedules to plan facility operations.
Ensure plant safety performance and participate in safety programs.
Direct and coordinate production processes to achieve goals and optimize performance.
Supervise and train production supervisors and staff to meet policies and goals.
Oversee machining, processing and assembly operations.
Maintain production efficiency, minimize scrap, and manage improvement projects.
Coordinate continuous improvement efforts and plant projects as directed.
Uphold SQF food safety and quality standards.
