Job summary

Lamb Weston is seeking a Packaging Operator Trainee in Delhi, LA. You will support the packaging line from equipment setup through final product handling, ensuring quality checks of weights, seals and codes.

The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and adherence to sanitation standards within a fast-paced environment. You will operate varied equipment, assist with line changes, participate in shift meetings, and maintain logs using the LEDs system.

Qualifications

• Must communicate effectively, verbal and written.
• Self-motivated with able to work independently.
• Able to ascend/descend stairs during shift.
• Stand on feet for long periods and move around the line.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills.
• Understand basic math for bag weights and counts.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment and verify bag weights, seals and codes.
• Operate and sanitize packaging equipment and lines.
• Maintain clean and organized work area (5S) and sanitation.
• Record data and participate in safety and quality checks.
• Assist other operators and participate in meetings on losses and actions.
