Job summary

Lamb Weston in Delhi, LA is seeking a Packaging Operator Trainee (Crew D) to support the pack floor, set up equipment, and verify product quality attributes such as bag weights, seals, and codes. You will assist with sanitation, 5S shadow boards, and ordering packaging materials as needed during operations.

The role requires the ability to communicate clearly, lift up to 50 pounds, and operate with basic mechanical and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively in verbal and written instructions.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently.
• Able to go up and down stairs throughout the shift.
• Able to be on feet for most of the day (about 60/40).
• Basic mechanical and computer aptitude required.
• Understand basic math (add/subtract/multiply/divide).
• Able to lift 50 pounds safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging equipment from discharge to the line feeding Americold.
• Set up equipment and verify bag weights, seals, and codes.
• Maintain clean and sanitary work areas; participate in 5S shadow boards and sanitation.
• Order packaging materials as needed during operations.
• Troubleshoot line issues and communicate with team members.
• Perform safety duties, LOTO compliance, and join required meetings.
