Job summary

Lamb Weston Holdings, Inc. in American Falls, ID is seeking a Packaging Operator Trainee to operate and maintain packaging equipment from the freezer exit through cased goods.

You will monitor line-flow, packaging materials, scales, and case-packers while upholding safety and quality standards. The role requires strong communication, physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds, and the ability to work in adverse conditions.

Qualifications

• Must have good communication skills oral and written.
• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders.
• Must be able to stand for long periods at a time.
• Must have the manual dexterity and ability to safely use cleaning equipment.
• Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work in adverse conditions (i.e. extreme cold and heat, extreme wet, within closed surroundings).
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or on-the-job type training along with Team Leaders help and instruction.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor packaging equipment from freezer exit through cased goods.
• Maintain safe work practices and participate in safety programs.
• Record packaging efficiencies, downtime and fill out reports accurately.
• Ensure complete package quality by checking weights, seals, codes and glue patterns.
• Troubleshoot equipment operation and notify proper personnel.
• Provide direction to packaging laborers and temporary staff for efficient operations.
• Qualifications for Fire Watch duties and related responsibilities.
