Job summary

Career Connection Network is seeking Skilled Packaging Operators for a temporary 2nd shift position in Lockport, NY. Compensation ranges from $21 to $22 per hour for this role, which will last approximately 2-3 months. Position Details

• Hourly pay rate is $21-$22/hr.
• Temporary openings (2-3 months).
• 2nd shift: 3:00pm - 11:00pm, Mon - Fri.

Responsibilities Include:

• Operating equipment to meet finished goods particle size specifications.
• Filling and packaging finished goods in specified containers and quantities.
• Pulling specified samples for final lab analysis.
• Labeling containers and palletizes.
• Moving palletized material to staging locations.

Qualifications:

• High school education.
• 13 years of chemical production experience preferred.
• Ability to frequently climb ladders and stairs.
• Operate manual valves as required.
• Handle waste drums.
• Operate forklifts, chain falls, hoists, drum tippers, drumming equipment, etc.

Physical Requirements:

• Wear specified PPE for product handling (e.g., hard hat, safety glasses, conductive boots, nitrile gloves, etc.).
• Prolonged standing, walking, and movement between workstations.
• Good vision for reading gauges, inspecting equipment, and identifying safety hazards.
• Ability to hear alarms, machine sounds, and verbal instructions in noisy environments.
