We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Packaging Operator to join our GMP-regulated manufacturing team operating under Q7A quality standards. This role supports routine packaging operations for dry and liquid chemical products, following well-established procedures and documentation requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and committed to maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
Packaging Operations
Perform routine packaging of dry and liquid chemicals for storage or transport following established SOPs and Batch Records.
Operate, monitor, and adjust packaging machinery including starting, stopping, clearing jams, and making minor adjustments for product size or flow.
Observe machine performance to ensure quality and conformity to standards.
Prepare products and materials for continuous, efficient packaging operations.
Stock and organize packaging materials; maintain clean and orderly workstations.
Quality & Documentation
Document procedures, equipment verifications, and packaging activities accurately in Batch Records.
Inspect and remove defective products or materials; separate and record rejected items.
Test, evaluate, and verify product weight and measurements to meet quality standards.
Label finished products and complete all required documentation for packaged items.
Count and record finished and rejected units.
Palletize finished goods or pack products into cartons/containers.
Secure packaged items by hand tying, attaching fasteners, or sewing.
Clean, assemble, and perform minor repairs on equipment using hand tools.
Safely operate hand trucks and forklifts.
Safety & Compliance
Follow all safety procedures including PPE use, gowning, housekeeping, workplace organization, and cleaning requirements.
Maintain compliance with safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations.
Support continuous improvement and any additional tasks assigned by Management.
Education:
High school diploma or GED required.
Knowledge:
Basic math and English comprehension.
Basic understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and manufacturing methods.
Knowledge of safety, health, environmental rules, policies, and procedures.
Skills:
Troubleshooting and product inspection.
Operation control and monitoring.
Equipment maintenance and light mechanical repair.
Material resource management.
Applicants must be able to perform the following essential physical tasks:
Work in extreme temperatures, including heat up to 120°F.
Lift up to 55 pounds safely and repeatedly.
Drive a forklift safely and efficiently.
Pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and physical capabilities test.
Pass a respirator fit test and wear a respirator per SOPs.
Squat to touch the floor 10 times unassisted.
Graduated lift of 55 lbs from 4” to 57”.
Stack multiple 40–55 lb bags within 10 minutes.
Push at least 102 lbs from any height; pull ~100 lbs at 36”.
Climb a vertical ladder (15 rungs; repeated sequences).
Lift 30 lbs overhead for 1 repetition.
Perform scraping simulation of 20 lbs (clockwise/counter-clockwise) for 2 minutes at 18” height.
Maneuver 185 lbs from floor to 4” height once.
Work in a high-quality, safety-focused, GMP environment.
Hands-on work with room to grow skills in manufacturing and packaging operations.
