Job summary

MillenniumSoft Inc in Sparks, MD is seeking an Entry Level Packaging Operator on a 12‑month W2 contract (US Citizens or GC Holders Only). The 3rd shift runs 10:15 pm to 6:15 am, with 40 hours per week and overtime as required.

Responsibilities include moving materials with pallet jacks, packaging products per SMP/SOP while logging data per GDP, setting up and operating equipment, maintaining records, and ensuring weight tolerance per IMW A163.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift heavy loads per shift.
• Capable of standing/walking for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Move required materials from defined storage or staging areas to workspace using material handling equipment including manual and motorized pallet jacks/walkies.
• Package final product into end-user containers per SMP and SOP; maintain logs following GDP.
• Set up, operate and clean production equipment including weighing scales, hand-filling equipment, IFL and Bagging equipment; monitor process parameters.
• Maintain accurate production records, including logs and batch history records; ensure weight tolerance per IMW A163.
• Demonstrate independent judgment to plan, perform, and troubleshoot in setup, operations, and processes.
• Follow client and DCM safety policies; comply with overtime requirements.
• Perform other duties as required by DCM operations.

Workdays/hours: 3rd Shift, 10:15pm - 6:15am, overtime required. Monday - Friday schedule.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for moving required materials from defined storage or staging areas to workspace using material handling equipment including manual and motorized pallet jacks/walkies.
• Packaging of final product into end-user containers per approved Standard Manufacturing Procedures (SMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Keeps accurate logs (both written and on computer) following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
• Demonstrates the ability to follow established procedures according to Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
• Demonstrates ability to set-up, operate and clean production equipment including weighing scales, hand-filling equipment, Integrated Fill Lines (IFL) and Bagging equipment (SpeeDee & All-Fills). Requires monitoring of critical meters, gauges and displays for process parameters (i.e.. temperature, humidity, RPMs).
• Maintains accurate production records, which include operation/cleaning logs, batch history records, Label reconciliation, work order information and other pertinent data.
• Responsible for assuring final product is within final weight tolerance as specified per IMW A163.
• Use independent judgment to plan, perform, make decisions, trouble-shoot and problem solve in areas on set up, operations, and processes.
• Demonstrate the ability to maintain neat, accurate and complete records and logs and use calibration equipment and machine operations.
• Must follow all client and DCM safety policies and procedures.
• Must be able to work overtime as required to meet BD business requirements.
• Performs other duties as DCM operations required.

Minimum Qualification

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of experience in a manufacturing, packaging and/or warehouse environment.
• Must be capable of performing heavy lifting/handling during a 10-hr. shift; 1-5 lb.- 70% ; 5-25 lbs. -30%
• Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs 50% to 95% of the workday.
• Must be capable of passing the physical examination for forklift operations and respirator fit test.

Additional Notes

• Dusty environment requiring routine use of N95 respirators.
• Routine use of Safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, respirators, and hearing protection may be required. Must be used if required.
• Respirators and PAPR are required at times for specified products.
• Repetitively heavy lifting/handling during a 8 hr shift; 1-5 lb.- 70% ; 5-35 lbs -30%
• Forklift Experience is very helpful
