Job summary

Shurtape Technologies, LLC is seeking a skilled machine operator to operate complex rewinding, coating and slitting machines. You will lead a work center to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals, while following SOPs and production plans.

You will train teammates on safe operation, monitor quality, and help balance lines to prevent bottlenecks. This role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and hands-on operations in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex machine set up and changeovers.
• Operate assigned equipment efficiently and communicate production status to Shift Manager and Team Leads.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of the machines.
• Ensure machines operate safely and report safety issues immediately.
• Instruct new team members on basic safety, quality and productivity standards.
• Follow production schedule and SOPs; verify work orders and BOM accuracy.
• Maintain accurate production metrics and communicate hourly goals to peers.
• Support 5S, housekeeping, and preventive maintenance initiatives.
• Assist in avoiding bottlenecks by balancing line assignments.
