Job summary

Shurtape Technologies, LLC in Avon, Ohio is seeking a manufacturing operator to operate and set up complex rewinding, coating, and slitting machinery. You will work with a shift team to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals, ensuring efficient production and adherence to SOPs.

You will perform equipment changeovers, troubleshoot, and coordinate with the Shift Manager to resolve production barriers. A strong focus on safety, accuracy, and teamwork is essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

• Complete any manufacturing formal training specific to assigned work centers.
• Able to perform multiple, sometimes complex, tasks.
• Work requires effective math skills.
• Must demonstrate a professional attitude toward work and co-workers.
• Must be punctual and dependable.
• High School or GED equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex machine set up and changeovers.
• Operate assigned equipment efficiently. Communicate with the Shift Manager and Team Leads when production goals are not met to define and eliminate barriers.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of the machine.
• Ensure that the assigned machine(s) are working in a safe and proper manner. Notify the Shift Manager, Team Leads.
• Leads or the Maintenance Department of any safety issues immediately.
• Instruct fellow team members of the safe operation of the machine and point out potential hazards that may be present.
• Follow production schedule as communicated by the planning team or direction of the Shift Manager.
• Follow established standard operating procedures (SOP).
• Review and follow the work order instructions. Notify Shift Manager and Team Leads of work order discrepancies.
• Confirm component accuracy with the Bill of Material.
