Job summary

Mars Wrigley in Albany, GA is seeking a Packaging Operator to run and monitor filling lines, perform changeovers, and support line efficiency.

Responsibilities include quality checks, maintenance coordination with the maintenance team, and accurate recording of logs. The role requires a high school diploma, 1 year in manufacturing, and the ability to work rotating 8- or 12-hour shifts; benefits start day one.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent education.
• 1 year experience in manufacturing.
• Prior experience operating packaging machines.

Responsibilities

• Performs activities and job tasks within a manufacturing line or area.
• Operates equipment and changeovers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Takes corrective actions in solving problems to root cause level.
• Able to assess equipment operating reliability and perform routine repairs, adjustments, and malfunction troubleshooting.
• Performs and/or works with Maintenance to complete equipment preventative maintenance (PM).
• Performs quality control (QC) tasks such as metal checks, inspection of date codes, item numbers, dump logs, etc.
• Maintain accurate records of quality check and keeps detailed logbooks.
• Any ad hoc tasks.
