Job summary

Mars Incorporated is hiring a Packaging Operator for 2nd shift in Illinois. The role focuses on operating and adjusting packaging lines, performing changeovers, and maintaining process safety and product quality in a high-volume food manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma (Associates preferred), and 2+ years of experience with automated manufacturing, including PLC/HMI. The position offers growth opportunities and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Grade 12 or High School diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: Associates degree or higher in an engineering or manufacturing related discipline.
• Minimum: N/A in related experience.
• Preferred: 2+ years in food-related manufacturing with automated processes including PLC/HMI.

Responsibilities

• Operate all equipment in the assigned area while ensuring quality, safety and performance standards.
• FIll out HACCP and military sheets correctly and follow escalation protocol.
• Encourage a safe working environment and keep the area clean and organized per 5S standards.
• Perform changeovers and routine cleanings, maintain supplies for your area, and complete required paperwork.
• Actively participate in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) teams.
