Job summary

Kelly Services in Myerstown, PA is hiring a Packaging Machine Operator to join a premier manufacturing client. You will perform daily setup and operation of packaging lines and work on equipment including Bottle in-feed, Filler, Capper, Labeler, and Vision Systems.

This role requires a HS Diploma or equivalent, the ability to work on 1st shift, and a safety-focused, team-oriented mindset. You will contribute to continuous improvement, maintain 5S practices, and support cross-training.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily setup and routine operation of packaging lines, including Bottle in-feed, Unscrambler, Filler, Capper.
• Operate and monitor Vision Systems, Weighing Systems, Bar Coding Systems, and ensure product quality.
• Follow safety procedures, PPE usage, and comply with cGMPs and OSHA standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement, troubleshoot issues, and assist with preventive maintenance.
• Maintain and clean the work area using 5S practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet production schedules.
• Support development of training and cross-training of other operators.

What’s a typical day as Packaging Machine Operator? You’ll be:

• Performing daily setup and routine operation of packaging lines, including equipment such as Bottle in-feed, Unscrambler, Filler, Capper, Torquer, Labeler, Vision Systems, Weighing Systems, and Bar Coding Systems
• Ensuring a safe work environment by following all safety procedures, company guidelines, and ergonomic practices, including proper use of PPE and compliance with cGMPs and OSHA standards
• Participating in continuous improvement initiatives, troubleshooting technical issues, and assisting with predictive and preventive maintenance
• Maintaining, cleaning, and organizing the work area using 5S practices
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet production schedules, deadlines, and operational goals
• Supporting the development of training programs and cross-training other operators as needed
