Job summary

Openwork is seeking a reliable Packaging Operator in Baytown, TX, to support production and warehouse operations. The role involves packaging, labeling, and operating Form, Fill, Seal (FFS) equipment while ensuring safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong reliability, be proficient in English, and be able to lift up to 55 lbs. Training will occur at an alternate facility prior to transferring to a new warehouse location.

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable Packaging Operator to support production and warehouse operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role involves packaging, labeling, palletizing, and operating Form, Fill, Seal (FFS) equipment while ensuring safety, quality, and production standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble packaging materials including boxes, lids, labels, and related materials
• Operate packaging and transfer equipment following visual operating procedures
• Stack, palletize, label, and prepare finished products for shipment
• Perform repackaging and general production support tasks as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times
• Follow all safety procedures and production guidelines
• Support general labor duties to assist production flow
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment to meet production goals

Requirements

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs repeatedly throughout shift
• Comfortable working in indoor/outdoor warehouse conditions and varying weather
• Strong punctuality and reliability required
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately
• Must be willing to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Safety Requirements

• Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
• Must follow all OSHA and site safety rules and procedures

Details

Location: Baytown, TX

Shift: Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)

Schedule: 12-hour shifts; must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed

Training: Employee will train at an alternate facility prior to potential transfer into a new warehouse location
