Job summary

6AM City, LLC is seeking a Packaging Machine Operator in Wisconsin's Bayview / St Francis area for 2nd shift (12:30pm–8:30pm). You will operate, monitor, and maintain packaging machinery to ensure efficient, high-quality packaging of our food products.

This role offers hands-on development of mechanical skills, and a $5,000 signing bonus, with pay ranging from $18 to $25 per hour based on experience. Training is provided for operators new to packaging equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating packaging machinery or industrial equipment; training provided.
• Mechanical knowledge or machining experience useful for troubleshooting.
• Ability to perform basic math for measurements and counts.
• Familiarity with GMP and OSHA safety standards.
• Forklift or pallet jack certification/experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and precise machine operation.
• Ability to stand and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Duties

• Operate packaging machines efficiently, ensuring smooth workflow and minimal downtime
• Monitor machine performance, making adjustments as needed to maintain optimal operation
• Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting on equipment to prevent malfunctions
• Use hand tools and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts for setup and material movement
• Follow safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to maintain a safe work environment
• Conduct quality checks on packaged products to ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and safety standards
• Assist in material handling, loading raw materials and finished goods using forklifts or other equipment

Requirements

• Prior experience operating packaging machinery or industrial equipment is preferred but not required; training will be provided
• Mechanical knowledge or experience with machining is advantageous for troubleshooting and maintenance tasks
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements, counts, and adjustments
• Familiarity with safety standards in production environments, including GMP and OSHA regulations
• Valid certification or experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment is a plus
• Strong attention to detail with excellent hand-eye coordination for precise machine operation
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift in a fast-paced setting
