Job summary

ABB is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer for Packaging & Motor Design in the US. You will lead packaging specifications, development and continuous improvement of packaging for NEMA motor products (Baldor/Reliance).

You will guide projects from concept to production and collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, quality and sales to meet cost, quality and timing targets. You will work onsite, report to Engineering Manager, and bring 2+ years of relevant experience, CAD proficiency, and a

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 2+ years of manufacturing or mechanical design experience.
• Proficiency in Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar CAD tools with BOM interpretation.
• Strong analytical, project planning and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• Experience in industrial packaging design or motor design is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead packaging solutions and motor design projects from concept to production release.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams across manufacturing, supply chain and quality.
• Develop testing and validation plans to reduce product damage and improve performance.
• Collaborate with suppliers and customers to optimize materials and processes.
