Job summary

ABB is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer - Packaging & Motor Design in Fort Smith, AR, onsite. You will lead packaging solutions for NEMA motor products, ensuring safety, efficiency, and cost effectiveness while meeting customer and manufacturing objectives.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams across manufacturing, supply chain, quality, logistics, procurement, and suppliers, driving projects from concept through production release and supporting custom motor design and technical

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 2+ years of manufacturing or mechanical design experience.
• Proficient in CAD software (Creo, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and interpreting drawings and BOMs.
• Strong analytical, project planning, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead packaging solutions design, specification, validation, and cost optimization for ABB NEMA motor products.
• Manage packaging and engineering projects from concept to production release with cross-functional teams.
• Develop testing and corrective actions to verify performance and reduce product damage.
• Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing, logistics, sales, and customers to optimize materials and processes.
