Job summary

McKee Foods is seeking a Packaging Mechanic to join our Maintenance team. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on process equipment, set up packaging lines, diagnose failures, and rebuild components to ensure reliability.

You will support production teams and maintain detailed maintenance records while maintaining a clean work area. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of experience with automated equipment and strong knowledge of electrical/electronic controls, with a safety- and

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience maintaining automated industrial equipment or equivalent technical training.
Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic controls.
Demonstrated commitment to safety and product quality.
Ability to work independently and in a team, with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and general repairs on all process equipment.
Set up and change over packaging equipment as required.
Diagnose and resolve equipment failures in a multi-skilled environment.
Rebuild equipment and components to ensure reliability.
Modify and enhance equipment performance as needed.
Provide technical assistance to production teams and maintain detailed maintenance records.
Operate tools, vehicles, and computers for troubleshooting and repair tasks.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the maintenance shop and toolbox.
Participate in training programs to improve technical skills.
