Job summary

Opella is hiring a Maintenance Technician in Chattanooga, TN for the 1st shift to maintain packaging equipment in a cGMP environment. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, assist with changeovers, and support continuous improvement projects to keep lines running smoothly.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and four years of experience with automated controls or electromechanical equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Four years' experience with automated controls and/or electromechanical equipment.
• Willing to comply with dress code and training; exposure to dust, grease, and packing machinery hazards.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of packaging equipment.
• Assist packaging personnel in changeover and operation of packaging equipment.
• Support Engineering with projects and continuous improvement objectives.
• Set up and adjust equipment for different product sizes per line setup sheets.
• Diagnose line issues by observing equipment in operation and implement fixes.
• Disassemble equipment as needed and replace defective parts to restore operation.
• Prepare written specifications for major repair parts from vendors or machine shops.
