Job summary

American Sugar Refining, Inc. in Baltimore seeks a Packaging Maintenance Team Manager to improve reliability, efficiency, safety, and quality of our Baltimore Refinery packaging operations.

You will direct the Packaging Maintenance Supervisors, coordinate priorities, and drive continuous improvement. Candidates should have 7-10 years in maintenance/engineering and 3+ years leading a team, with a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience in maintenance or engineering.
• 3+ years of experience leading a team in an industrial setting or equivalent military leadership.
• Food production / processing experience is preferred.
• Supervisory experience in a union environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review daily packaging operation with respect to efficiency, product requirement, and current production schedule.
• Direct the daily activities of the Packaging Maintenance Supervisors to ensure proper priorities.
• Review the previous day's operation with the Packaging Department Manager and inform of problems affecting delivery, quality, or line capability.
• Review shutdown maintenance and cleaning schedules to ensure effective maintenance without harming production rate.
• Develop and implement plans to improve substandard performance.
• Develop and lead the team in a 30/60/90-day transition plan and drive measurable results.
