Job summary

ADM in Colby, WI is seeking a Packaging Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. You will assist with setup, verify parts, and ensure correct film and pouch codes are used.

This on‑site role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 70 pounds, following GMP and HACCP guidelines, and maintaining clean, organized work areas.

You will work with operators during startup, monitor seals and temperatures, complete required paperwork, and contribute to safe, efficient production.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds, or 100 pounds with assistance as needed.
• Able to stand for long periods and bend/squat during shift.
• Good writing and math skills to perform basic calculations.
• Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP and SQF guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Complete pre-op functions and install temperature chart and filter assembly.
• Facilitate assembly and setup of packaging machine, verify correct parts and film.
• Verify pouch code embossment and correct film is used for each change.
• Enter and verify machine settings in the HMI terminal for the product being run.
• Verify belts/pumps operate and freezer is at correct temperature.
• Partner with Cook Operator and Team Leader during startup/product changes.
• Monitor seals, pouch weight, and fill tank to maintain optimal levels.
• Operate machine for maximum efficiency to minimize downtime.
• Complete paperwork to maintain records for manufacturing/inventory.
• Maintain cleanliness/organization of machine area and perform clean-up.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisors/Management.
• Report any food safety concerns promptly.
