Job summary

Comar in Wisconsin is seeking a production operator to operate and tend packaging machines, perform quality checks, and maintain a clean, safe work environment. You will start machines, monitor for malfunctions, and report issues to prevent downtime, while following GMP, HACCP and SQF guidelines.

The role emphasizes adherence to safety policies, ability to read instructions, basic math, and teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Previous manufacturing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have basic understanding of cGMPs and Good Hygiene Practices.
• Notify SQF Practitioner/Supervisor of repairs or adjustments required.
• Perform Basic Sanitation Functions.
• Meet Company, and or Regulatory Requirements / standards (HACCP, SQF).
• Notify SQF Practitioner/Quality Manager of any Food Safety or Quality issues.
• Identify problems related to Food Safety and Quality via checks.
• Initiate action to prevent nonconformities and follow HOLD SOP.
• Control nonconforming product until corrected.
• Follow Food Fraud/food Defense policies on site.
• Understand GMPs, HACCP and SQF policies.

Responsibilities

• Operates and tends machines that perform packaging functions.
• Starts machines and observes operation; reports malfunctions.
• Clear alarms, jams, sensors, and leak detectors.
• Stages packaging material or WIP; ensures quality of finished product.
• Perform visual and basic dimensional inspections for acceptability.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Adhere to Health, Safety and Quality guidelines and GMP.
• Other duties as assigned.
