Job summary

Timken Distribution Center in Duncan, SC is seeking a 2nd Shift Machine Packaging Operator. You will use packaging machines to package cups, cones, and assemblies into cartons, ensuring accuracy and quality.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret English documents such as safety rules and work instructions.
• Ability to complete production forms and communicate with plant leadership.

Responsibilities

• Gather necessary supplies and verify quality prior to use, including cartons/boxes suitability.
• Verify product quantity and inspect for correct part numbers or defects; take action to restore accuracy.
• Stage product in feeding area and maintain consistent throughput to avoid damage.
• Set up, change over and troubleshoot packaging equipment.
• Use handheld RF scanners or computer systems to verify packaging requirements.
• Remove packaged bearings from exit conveyor and perform final visual inspection.
• Pack cartons, sleeves or tubes into shipping containers and route via conveyor to next stage.
• Communicate with other work areas to resolve problems and keep area orderly.
