Job summary

Timken Distribution Center in Duncan, SC is hiring 2nd Shift Package Processors. Work 3pm-11pm Monday–Friday with overtime as scheduled. Safety, accuracy, productivity, and customer service are valued in our team.

Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or GED and experience in packaging or manufacturing. Benefits start on day one, with 401(k) matching and paid holidays, vacation, and parental leave.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.
• Experience in packaging and manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Use hand-held scanner to scan and sort product by part number and to create and print Delivery Note (DN).
• Verify correct components such as parts, part numbers, quantities, and other specifications against DN.
• Follow customer specific instructions from Pack Manual and/or DN to pack material into appropriate shipping containers, including required dunnage and labels/label placement.
• Know, understand and follow Pack (PK) codes, Global Packaging Records (GPRs), and pack diagrams.
• Recognize when customer orders carry special instructions and pack to those specifications.
• Have basic computer skills to access and follow online Pack Manual for other required instructions.
• Reverify part number, quantity, and other specifications against DN after packaging.
• Apply all labels and ensure proper placement as required by the customer.
• Use available resources to determine product for customer and packing instructions.
