Job summary

Timken Distribution Center in Duncan, SC is hiring two 2nd shift Package Processors for a 3pm-11pm schedule, Monday through Friday, with overtime as scheduled. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, productivity and customer service.

Required is a high school diploma or GED, and prior packaging or manufacturing experience is preferred. Candidates must be able to lift up to 55 pounds and wear steel-toed shoes on the plant floor. Training begins on day one with benefits eligibility.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions and pack manuals.
• Good physical condition and ability to lift up to 55 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Scan and sort product by part number with a handheld scanner.
• Verify components against delivery notes and DN.
• Pack materials into appropriate shipping containers with proper labeling.
• Follow PK codes, GPRs and pack diagrams.
• Identify special customer instructions and pack accordingly.
• Use computer skills to access online Pack Manual.
• Reverify part number and quantity after packaging.
• Apply all labels and ensure correct placement.
• Use available resources to determine product and packing instructions.
