Job summary

Novolex is seeking a Machine Adjuster for our Brookshire, TX plant. You will supervise Machine Operators, manage line assignments, and ensure production efficiency while maintaining quality. The role emphasizes safety, GMP compliance, and timely reporting of production metrics.

Starting compensation ranges from $24 to $32 per hour, with benefits including health coverage and ongoing training. Prior manufacturing supervision experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 2-5 years Machine Operator experience.
• Effective listening, speaking and writing ability.
• Ability to read safety rules and operating/quality instructions.
• Ability to complete routine reports and records.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
• Strong written communication and grammar.
• Self-management with organization and time management.
• Good eyesight for color/quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first line supervisor for Machine Operators and Utilities.
• Assign employees to lines and maintain production speed on schedule.
• Monitor bags and take hourly samples for quality checks.
• Assist in machine changeovers and ensure timely completion.
• Clean and repair machines as needed.
• Ensure safety procedures and PPE compliance.
• Submit accurate production reports daily and on time.
• Schedule breaks and relief for staff.
• Evaluate employee performance and counsel when needed.
• Train new employees or assign trainers.
• Maintain workspace cleanliness and supplies.
• Escalate issues to Shift Supervisor or Dept Manager.
• Follow GMP and Food Safety Practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including food safety tasks.
