Job summary

Novolex in Brookshire, TX is seeking a Bag Machine Operator for the 3rd shift. You will operate the bag machine, inspect bags for quality, and ensure timely production while following safety and GMP procedures.

Starting pay is $18.75 per hour with a $1 per hour shift differential. The role requires attention to safety, ability to stand for long periods, and basic mechanical troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Capable of communicating with all levels of internal and external customers.
• Must have basic mechanical skills and troubleshooting ability.
• Must be able to stand for long periods.
• Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate the bag machine and visually inspect outgoing products for quality.
• Pack and stack bundles of bags dispensed from the machine.
• Follow safety rules and procedures and comply with GMPs.
• Report machine adjustments and repairs to supervisor or machine tender.
• Submit accurate daily production reports and maintain productivity goals.
• Meet safety, quality, production, waste and housekeeping targets set by management.
