Job summary

Novolex in Brownsville, TX is seeking an Adjuster Mechanic to adjust merchandise, grocery or sack paper bag machines. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and meeting production targets in the assigned area.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years in manufacturing, basic mechanical skills, and the ability to communicate across teams. This full-time, on-site position offers a 3rd shift with competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Capable of communicating with all levels of internal and external customers.
Must be able to think on your feet, work with limited supervision and make sound decisions.
Must be a team player with a “can do” attitude.
Should possess basic mechanical skills.
Must be capable of standing for long periods of time.
Ability to frequently lift and carry 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Adjust and repair machines as needed to increase production, reduce downtime, and improve machine durability.
Monitor machine run speeds and adjust to budgeted speeds or better.
Perform safety checks and ensure PPE requirements are followed.
Conduct quality checks and document results per Quality Policy.
Manage machine set ups and order changeovers.
Report machine issues and plan repairs with supervision.
Maintain daily housekeeping standards.
