Job summary

Novolex is hiring an Adjuster Mechanic in Brownsville, TX. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Adjuster will set up and adjust merchandise, grocery or sack paper bag machines while ensuring safety, product quality and production targets are met.

You will perform preventive maintenance, run machine changes, monitor speeds, and document production; you must follow GMP and safety rules, and may participate in training programs.

Qualifications

• Prefer to have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Capable of communicating with all levels of internal and external customers.
• Ability to think on your feet with limited supervision and make sound decisions.
• Team player with a can-do attitude; basic troubleshooting abilities.
• Must stand for long periods and be able to lift 50 lbs frequently.

Responsibilities

• Continuously perform tasks in a safe manner following safety rules.
• Ensure guards are in place and functioning; enforce PPE requirements.
• Perform machine set ups and order changeovers; adjust/repair machines as needed.
• Monitor run speeds and keep them at budgeted speeds or better.
• Complete quality checks and paperwork per Quality Policy; follow GMP.
• Submit accurate production reports daily and meet safety/quality targets.
