Job summary

Kelly is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support packaging lines in Newark, DE. The role focuses on fabricating parts, conducting inspections, and performing preventive maintenance on packaging equipment.

Responsibilities include line changeovers, basic troubleshooting, and strict adherence to GMP, safety, and Lockout/Tagout procedures. A minimum of 1 year hands-on mechanical experience and a trade/technical background are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year hands-on mechanical/maintenance experience.
• Trade or technical education preferred; formal degree not required.
• Mechanical aptitude for assembling, disassembling, and troubleshooting small packaging machinery.
• Basic electrical/automation knowledge is a plus.
• Mechanical certification or relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate parts using lathes, mills, bandsaws, and similar tools.
• Perform machinery inspections and preventive maintenance routines.
• Complete line changeovers and basic troubleshooting of packaging equipment.
• Comply with machinery safety, electrical safety, and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
