Job summary

Crown Bakeries is seeking a Packaging Lead to oversee packaging processes and lead results-driven teams as products progress along the line. The role emphasizes keeping the line running smoothly while aligning with Crown Bakeries’ Mission, Vision, and Values.

You will guide line setup and changeovers, monitor production versus targets, review staffing and onboarding, enforce control plans, analyze root causes, and communicate daily goals across shifts, while maintaining safety and quality

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Must be flexible with schedule, including start times and weekend work.
• Willing to acquire a wide variety of skills to assist the surrounding team.
• Drive for Results, Process Management, Integrity & Trust, Conflict Management, and Time Management.
• Able to problem solve, learn on the fly, process and technical learning, and quality decision.
• Must be able to work in a team environment as well as work independently.
• Work in a noisy environment and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Reach above shoulder height, bend, twist, and climb stairs.

Responsibilities

• Lead team in line setup and changeover of product, identifying critical controls and issues.
• Monitor hourly production vs. targets and apply countermeasures if necessary.
• Review staffing needs for the shift such as absences, new employees, and onboarding.
• Monitor and enforce control plan and maintain machine checks as a critical check point.
• Analyze root causes of production issues and develop corrective actions.
• Provide production run sheets to packaging machine operators to complete daily production run.
• Update production system with completed case counts to communicate goals to next shift.
• Maintains raw material inventory and communicate discrepancies as needed.
• Set up and operate multiple machines in the packaging area.
• Train, develop, and motivate team members on job performance, quality expectations, and standardized work.
