Job summary

Selectemp in Cascade Locks, OR, is hiring a Packaging Laborer to support fast-paced production and maintain clean, safe work areas. You will operate bagging and baler machinery, assist with pellet mill start-ups/shutdowns, and help move, wrap, and pallet finished products.

The role requires basic mechanical skills, ability to read scales, forklift experience, and reliability. You must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long shifts; health coverage begins within 30 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Ability to read scales and interpret measurements.
• Mechanical aptitude with basic troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated reliability and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Operate bagging and baler machinery safely and efficiently.
• Assist with pellet mill startup/shutdown and report issues.
• Move, wrap, and stack finished products on pallets.
• Use forklifts, pallet jacks and other equipment to transport materials.
• Complete production reports and label pallets with QC data.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety procedures.
• Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment.
