Job summary

Fresh in Jersey City, NJ seeks an Associate Manager, Packaging Development to elevate gifting packaging via innovative, sustainable solutions. You will collaborate across Marketing, Product Innovation, and Operations, manage external vendors, and drive concepts through production with rigorous testing and quality control.

Ideal candidates have a packaging engineering background and 3+ years in packaging development, with strong communication and CAD/MS Office skills to deliver market-ready

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in Package Engineering/Technology/Science or related engineering field.
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience in Packaging Development, preferably in gifting.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and qualification of packaging for gifting, limited-edition, and sampling initiatives.
• Collaborate with Packaging Design, Marketing, Product Innovation, Purchasing, and Operations.
• Drive packaging development from concept through execution with testing and approvals.
• Own milestones and resolve cross-functional roadblocks to ensure execution.
• Partner with external vendors to explore new formats, materials, and sustainable solutions.
• Manage external packaging vendors and create specifications and quality requirements.
• Coordinate with Design on color, artwork, proofs within technical constraints.
• Oversee packaging testing for transit, functionality, and homologation.
• Attend set assembly and manufacturing start-ups as needed.
• Troubleshoot issues across suppliers, manufacturing, distribution, and quality.
