Job summary

fresh, a global skincare brand within the LVMH Group, is seeking an Associate Manager, Packaging Development in Jersey City, NJ. You will lead innovative packaging programs for gifting, limited editions, and sampling, collaborating with Marketing, Product Innovation, and external vendors to elevate the brand experience.

You will manage milestones from concept to execution, drive sustainable packaging initiatives, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality packaging solutions

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in Package Engineering/Technology/Science or related engineering field.
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience in Packaging Development (preferred in Gifting).
• Demonstrated broad and in-depth knowledge of packaging materials and processes.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with internal partners and external vendors.
• Self-motivated and self-disciplined, able to work with relative autonomy.
• Proficient PC skills – MS Office and ability to build presentations in Excel/PowerPoint.
• CAD literacy is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and qualification of packaging solutions for gifting, limited editions, and sampling initiatives.
• Collaborate with Packaging Design, Marketing, Product Innovation, Purchasing, and Operations to translate concepts into feasible packaging experiences.
• Drive packaging development from concept through execution, including design, prototypes, tooling, and testing.
• Own milestones within project timelines; proactively resolve cross-functional roadblocks.
• Explore new formats, materials, constructions, technologies, and sustainable solutions with external vendors.
• Manage external packaging vendors and suppliers; build partnerships to develop technical solutions.
• Create and maintain package component specifications, pre-Bills-of-Materials, Fill & Assembly specs, and QA requirements.
• Collaborate with Design on color development, artwork, proofs within constraints.
• Conduct and oversee packaging testing (transit, functionality, homologation).
• Attend and support set assembly and manufacturing start-ups.
• Troubleshoot technical issues across suppliers, manufacturing, distribution, and quality.
• Support engineering changes, quality investigations, continuous improvement, and efficiency initiatives.
• Champion sustainable packaging by identifying improvements with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
