Job summary

Baxter International Inc. in Puerto Rico is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to maintain fill and pack equipment and assure the packaging line operates safely and efficiently under cGMP and FDA regulations.

You will diagnose and repair line machinery, support operators, perform PLC updates, and contribute to preventive maintenance, with rotating shifts and adherence to GMP/GDP practices. Join a team driven by quality, reliability, and safety as you help deliver critical pharmaceutical products.

Qualifications

• Technical background and hands-on maintenance skills for packaging equipment.
• Familiarity with cGMP and FDA requirements is desirable.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair production line machinery to maintain operation.
• Assist operators in minor troubleshooting to improve line efficiency.
• Maintain and update PLC software on packaging equipment, report issues.
• Train setup operators and mechanics on minor troubleshooting and adjustments.
• Document repairs and perform preventive maintenance following GMP and GDP.

Skills

Analytical and problem-solving

Bilingual English/Spanish

Operate electronic equipment

Education

Technical Diploma or associate degree; bachelor's degree preferred

Tools

Programmable logic controllers (PLC) knowledge

Electrical work experience or certification

Power distribution system (Pds) knowledge

Basic pneumatic and hydraulic knowledge

Ability to interpret technical drawings
