Job summary

HR Works is seeking a motivated Automation Technician (Level 1) in Gurabo, Puerto Rico. The ideal candidate will support the automation team in the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of packaging equipment. Responsibilities include performing corrective actions on systems, assisting with preventive maintenance, and documenting service work. A degree in Electronic Engineering Technology or Mechatronics and 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing automation are required. The position offers a chance to grow skills in industrial automation.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing automation or packaging.
• Familiarity with GMP environments.
• Exposure to PLC/HMI is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support setup, operation, and maintenance of automated packaging equipment.
• Perform troubleshooting and corrective actions on electro-mechanical systems.
• Document service work and parts used.

Skills

Hands-on experience in packaging operations

Basic understanding of sensors

Ability to read wiring diagrams

Education

Bachelor's or associate degree in Electronic Engineering Technology or Mechatronics
