Job summary

Simtra BioPharma Solutions, based in Bloomington, Indiana, is seeking a Production Technician III to support packaging operations. You will set up equipment, execute changeovers between batches, troubleshoot on the production floor, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency and throughput.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, proficiency with MS Word/Excel/Outlook and familiarity with enterprise software. Overtime and weekend coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a technical field is required.
• High school diploma or GED with proven mechanical aptitude.
• Proficient with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and enterprise software (e.g., Dynamics, Veeva, Trackwise).

Responsibilities

• Analyze downtime and efficiency to respond to operational needs.
• Communicate equipment issues to shifts, Supervisor, and team via electronic report.
• Evaluate and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Use downtime, OEE, and data to target bottlenecks in the process.
• Initiate and complete work orders for equipment problems.
• Provide recommendations and implement solutions to equipment challenges.
• Ensure setup and changeover activities are accurate and timely.
• Evaluate changeover parts and order replacements as needed.
• Train machine operators on operation, setup, changeover, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate to improve SOPs with Finishing Training and Supervisors.
• Support equipment qualification/validation efforts.
