Job summary

ITW in New York is seeking a manufacturing associate to operate a forklift, stage and move steel, and ensure quality by using gauges and labeling processes.

You will also input data into Measurlink, follow safety protocols, and contribute to continuous improvement within a fast-paced, hands-on team environment.

Qualifications

Primary Key Responsibilities

• Loading steel on payoff wheel
• Staging steel
• Dumping scrap hoppers
• Printing labels
• Uses a variety of gauges to ensure quality
• Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work environment at all times.
• Label, scan, and move product per specifications
• Enters data into Measurlink
• Follow all rules, regulations and work processes set forth by the company
• 5s Responsibilities
• Hold self-accountable to create and maintain a safe working environment.
• Competently perform all tasks with a focus on safety within a fast-paced environment.
• Contributes to team effort by focusing on continuous improvement and success for the entire team.
• From time to time, personnel may be assigned other duties for the purpose of training, additional assistance or for other reasons as needed necessary by management.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with operating a forklift
• Basic computer knowledge
