Job summary

United Pharma in North Carolina is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to service packaging and inspection equipment in a regulated manufacturing environment.

You will perform hands-on mechanical/electrical repairs, preventive maintenance, and root-cause analysis on line equipment, including vision systems and serialization tools.

Join a cross-functional team supporting production, quality, and engineering to ensure uptime, compliance with GMP/FDA, and safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Pharma manufacturing experience preferred, especially packaging.
• Must troubleshoot, repair, and maintain packaging equipment.
• Experience with PLC-controlled equipment and serialization tech.
• Familiarity with GMP and FDA requirements.
• Ability to read manuals, schematics, and technical docs.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical troubleshooting on packaging equipment.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose failures and perform root-cause troubleshooting at equipment level.
• Support line changeovers, upgrades, and minor modifications.
• Maintain vision inspection and serialization systems.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled packaging equipment and perform basic resets.
• Document maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Engineering to sustain operations.
• Respond to breakdowns promptly to support uptime and product quality.
• Adhere to safety procedures and site SOPs.
