Job summary

Classic Packaging Company in Pfafftown, NC is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to install, maintain, and repair food-safe industrial equipment. You will troubleshoot electrical components, motors, sensors, and PLCs on the production floor while adhering to GMP and safety procedures.

Candidates should read engineering drawings, diagnose faults, and perform preventative maintenance. The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule, $25.00–$35.00 per hour, and a benefits package including

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electrical devices and their use in machines.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills with the ability to repair complex problems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
• Above average analytical, decision making, problem solving and research skills.
• Advanced knowledge of electronic test equipment
• Familiar with NFPA 70 National Electric Code.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, repairs, and overhauls the electrical components of critical production equipment.
• Installing and configuring new or replacement electrical motors, sensors, and controls
• Quickly responding to and resolving electrical failures or breakdowns on the production floor
• Services and troubleshoots programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and other automation and control devices
• Troubleshoot variable frequency, DC motor drive systems, servos, and steppers.
• Use common electrical diagnostic equipment.
• Troubleshoot to determine root cause of equipment failure and perform corrective maintenance accordingly.
• Effectively communicate with peers and management.
