Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent + 3 years relevant experience in maintenance.
• Experience with mechanical/electrical maintenance on packaging equipment (lathe, mill, welding) desired.
• Ability to read and comprehend packaging equipment operating manuals.
• Ability to solve complex technical problems and possess strong mechanical aptitude.
• Basic tool capabilities and use of measuring devices, power tools, and shop tools.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Effective communication via radios, e-mail, texts, or phone.
• Ability to troubleshoot, perform changeovers and set-ups on multiple lines.
• Initiative and problem-solving to drive line improvements in quality, efficiency, and safety.
• Basic electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic knowledge for troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, changeover, and set up packaging equipment to meet production goals.
• Ensure packaging equipment operates safely and in GMP-compliant manner.
• Communicate major line breakdowns and changeover information to supervisors.
• Document repairs and parts in line logs to maintain history.
• Perform preventive maintenance on packaging equipment.
• Collaborate with other mechanics for troubleshooting and set-ups.
