Job summary

eos Products is seeking a Packaging Engineer to execute packaging development initiatives from concept to commercialization. You will lead cross-functional collaboration with vendors, marketing and quality teams to develop packs, finalize specifications and drive packaging improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or the equivalent relevant experience.
• 1-3 years’ experience, ideally in Beauty and/or CPG environment.
• Ability and willingness to learn new technical areas leveraging internal and external resources.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for format expansions across all packaging categories to support new launches and engineering leads
• Work with vendors and marketing team members to develop packs, developing best practice packaging processes, finalizing specifications, managing overall quality and package functionality
• Discover new products/technology to “raise the bar” in packaging for innovation and sustainability goals
• Manage technical timelines for projects providing timely communication, outlining issues, risks and contingency plans
• Develop written testing protocols and complete thorough plant trials for various products lines
• Collaborate with Quality team to problem solve and troubleshoot when deviations occur in production
• Develop and maintain a professional knowledge of new or emerging trends within the packaging discipline
• Accountable for the creation and maintenance of packaging component specifications and finished good assembly instructions
• Work in conjunction with Creative and Marketing to design and develop eye catching packaging that will contribute to sales growth
