Job summary

Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream in the United States is seeking a technical packaging lead to drive Innovation & Renovation, Buy Better, Factory support, Quality improvement and Alternative supply projects.

You will lead the packaging development, collaborate with Quality, Operations, Procurement, and external vendors to optimize filling and packaging line performance, ensure packaging safety, quality, and sustainability, and manage timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Science is required.
• Experience in packaging development, trials, scale-ups or first-production runs is preferred.
• Strong understanding of packaging materials, structures, and equipment compatibility for frozen products.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Packaging team and annual new product development plan.
• Coordinate packaging specifications, samples, and testing with R&D, Quality, Operations, Procurement, and vendors.
• Identify optimal packaging materials and die-lines for new products and ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
• Design palletization patterns and test transportation to optimize costs and stability.
• Ensure artwork and technical packaging data are complete and delivered on time.
