Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Senior Capital Projects Manager to lead complex projects in PET preforms and rigid containers across multiple sites. You will oversee feasibility, budgeting, and scheduling while aligning with safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities include BOM creation, plant layout reviews, upgrades planning, and cost analysis. Travel up to 60% will be required to coordinate with locations and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Minimum of seven years professional engineering experience in plastics packaging, including seven years of project management.
• Knowledge of plant layouts and infrastructure equipment.
• Experience managing multiple resources and complex projects.
• Strong communication and people skills to influence and manage resources.

Responsibilities

• Create BOMs for new capital projects and support capital appropriation.
• Ensure safety and environmental requirements are in scope and budget.
• Translate feasibility studies into action plans meeting cost and timing.
• Review plant infrastructure and equipment against project requirements.
• Develop plans for upgrades and expansion requirements.
• Evaluate performance and cost of equipment and tooling.
• Communicate issues related to projects and publish weekly status reports.
• Maintain division standards and documentation for Operations Engineering.
