Job summary

Pattyn North America, headquartered in Sussex, WI, seeks a Field Service Technician to install, service and upgrade Pattyn packaging equipment across North America. You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and coordinate travel with customers to ensure high-quality service.

The role emphasizes on-site work with 90% travel, a standard 5 days/week, 10 hours/day schedule, and overtime eligibility.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in industrial automation.
• Training at Pattyn factory in Belgium and/or France is required regardless of experience.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, automation systems, or related discipline is desired.
• Strong PLC/IPC diagnosis; basic program modifications incl. alarms, parameters, timers, and PLC-to-PLC data transmission in Beckhoff TwinCAT 2/3.
• Able to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and start-up equipment at customer sites.
• Service and repairs of equipment at customer locations.
• Promote parts sales and equipment upgrades.
• Train customers in operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Maintain and submit visit and expense reports; book travel arrangements.
