Job summary

Green Thumb Industries (GTI) is seeking a Technical Engineer - Packaging to design, develop and optimize packaging and packaging automation across GTI production facilities. You will balance protection, cost, regulatory, and brand standards while translating packaging concepts into scalable production-ready solutions.

The role requires expertise in equipment selection, troubleshooting, and automation within a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

4+ years’ experience in Packaging Engineering or Technical Engineering.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience in regulated consumer goods manufacturing; cannabis experience a plus.
Experience leading IQ, OQ, and PQ validations and packaging equipment.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and validate packaging solutions for products and processes.
Lead the design and implementation of packaging automation systems and validations.
Provide ongoing technical support and continuous improvement for packaging equipment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align packaging with production, quality, and regulatory needs.
Travel to GTI manufacturing sites to scope and execute packaging processes.
