Job summary

Sika in Michigan is seeking a production/packaging associate to support daily manufacturing operations. You will follow the planned schedule, complete orders accurately, insert proper labels on containers and boxes, and help with packaging and inventory tasks on the line.

Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent, ability to read/write and perform basic math, 1–2 years of experience, and forklift experience preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and reliability.
  • Experience operating a forklift preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Complete manufacturing orders quickly, accurately, and carefully.
  • Label containers and boxes with required information and ensure label quality.
  • Handle packaging, labeling, and inventory tasks with care.
  • Operate forklift safely and count packaging materials used.
  • Support other production areas (shipping, receiving) as directed.

About the Role• Take direction from Team Leader and/or Supervisor• Follow schedule created by the Planner/Scheduler• Complete manufacturing orders quickly, accurately, and carefully• Accurately label containers as required, making sure labels are clean in appearance, free from wrinkles and match manufacturing instruction• Accurately label boxes including ingredient labels as required• Adopt good housekeeping practices such as cleaning, organizing, and removing trash Immediately report and clean spills• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement• Accurately account for on-time timesheets and manufacturing orders• Verify batch numbers and product descriptions match manufacturing orders• Accurately count containers, place in boxes or on skids in a safe, orderly, and efficient manner• Clean vessels, tools, containers, and work area well to assure residual material is not present• Upon completion of a manufacturing order, remove bulk containers, skids, and excess packaging to maintain inventory accuracy• Operate fork truck in a safe, cautious manner• Accurately account for packaging or production supplies used• Wear appropriate safety equipment• Supporting other areas of production as designated by the Manufacturing Manager (shipping, receiving packaging, deliveries)Your Skills and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferred• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math• 1-2 years of relevant work experience• Fork Truck experience preferred.• Must have ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the day.• Needs to be able to work on own or with other employees.• Dependability – requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations.• Attention to Detail – Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work taskWhy Join UsPerks & Benefits401k with Generous Company MatchMedical, Dental, and Vision BenefitsPaid Parental LeaveLife InsuranceDisability InsurancePaid time off, Paid holidaysFloating holidays + Paid Volunteer TimeWellness/Fitness ReimbursementsEducation AssistanceProfessional Development OpportunitiesEmployee Referral Program & More!Sika fosters a culture of entrepreneurship, empowering each individual to make decisions, learn from experiences, and shape their own career path.
